How to Transfer a Call

Transferring a call is when you are already have an existing established call and want to transfer the call to another party (extension). This is different from call forwarding where you have an incoming call which has not yet been answered and you are redirecting to another number.

Blind Transfer

A blind or unattended transfer is when the call is transferred to another party without taliking to that party prior to transferring the call. From the incall view tap the unattended transfer button.The blind transfer button differs from the attended transfer button in that it has a single arrow rather than double.

Clicking Transfer Button

Then enter the number you wish to transfer to in the text box and tap the green transfer button to transfer the call

Transferring the Call

Attended Transfer

An attended transfer is where the party to be transferred to is called first before the transfer takes place. In the scenario below we have received a call from Alisha requesting assistance. We think that Bernado is better suited to deal with this query so we decide to transfer Alisha to him but decide we will speak to him first before making the transfer. First tap the attended transfer button whilst in the incall view

Clicking Attended Transfer Button

In the text box enter Bernado's extension and then tap the green call button. A second call to Bernado is placed and shown in the multi call view.

Transferring Call

Finally tap the tranfer button on Bernado's call panel to complete the attended transfer and connect Bernado to Alisha
